Today is Father's Day.  (Happy Father's day to all the fathers and fathers to be out there.).  In honor of the day, today's prompt will be to write about your father or father figure.  What is your favorite memory of him?  How did he influence you?  What did you learn from him.  As a bonus, write him a letter or note letting him now how thankful you are for all he's done for you.

I know it's been quite a while since I've posted a prompt.  I apologize.  Today's prompt is a simple phrase.  It can be used verbatim in the piece or it can inspire the piece. That's entirely up to you. :o).  Any genre, between 500 and 1500 words.  I found the prompt on a Nano list, I believe.  Anyway, here it is.  I hope it sparks your creativity.
